Black Bikini Bottoms

Micro bikini bottoms

Scoops

Considered as a traditional style, scoops provide full coverage of both the butt and crotch areas.  It rises to about an inch below the belly button, allowing the wearer to have a two-piece swimsuit look without having to reveal much.  This type of swimwear is ideal for water sports and other more active beach activities.

Strings

Strings are composed of two pieces of fabric to cover the crotch and the butt area.  These pieces of fabric are held together and supported by thin straps of strings.

Thongs

Thongs are among the easiest to recognize of all bikini bottoms.  They have a small piece of fabric for crotch support and coverage, although the buttocks are exposed.  The front fabric is held in place by a strap between the butt cheeks and a strap around the waist.  These bottoms are popular among people who intend to have their skin tanned by sunbathing.

Brazilian styles

Some Brazilian two-piece bathing suits have high cut on the hips or low cut at the front part.  They usually have revealing rear parts.  There are basically three types of Brazilian bottoms: Tanga, Asa Delta, and Fio Dental.  Of the three, Fio Dental is the most revealing, having only a dental floss at the rear part.  Asa Delta is pretty much similar to a thong, though the strap at the butt part is slightly wider.  Lastly, Tangas have small pieces of fabric moderately covering the crotch and butt parts.

Low rise bottoms

Low rise two-piece swimsuits rest a few inches below the belly button.  They are designed after the low rise lingerie.

Skirts

Skirts are designed to be able to conceal the upper thighs and the hips.  Usually with ruffles, this style of swimwear provides a more traditional and girly look.

Boy shorts

Also known as hot shorts, this type of bottom also has a lingerie counterpart.  Boy shorts are designed to provide sufficient coverage for the upper thighs and the hips.  Both comfortable and modest, this is a popular choice among women who want to play and swim freely without having to worry too much about exposure.
